Here we are in the city of Istanbul, once known as Constantinople, and behind me is the Sultan Ahmet Mosque, more commonly known as the Blue Mosque because of the blue tilework ornamenting its walls. It was built between 1609 and 1616 by the architect Mehmet, and is also famous because it has six minarets, while most mosques normally only have one.
