What can you say about the pyramids that hasn't already been said? The last remaining wonder of the ancient world, most people believe they were erected around 2500 BC. It staggers the imagination to believe that a promitive society, who had not even discovered the wheel, could erect the two and a half million stone blocks in the great pyramid, some weighing more than twenty tons! Up until about 1200 AD, the pyramids had an outer layer of white limestone, which made them visible from hundreds of miles away. Although Egytologists tell us they were built as tombs for the pharaohs, there are no inscriptions inside, unlike virtually ever other Egyptian tomb ever built, nor have any artifacts or mummies been discovered.
